இந்த நிகழ்வில் கர்னல் சந்திரசேகர், முதன்மை சார்பு நீதிபதி, கும்பகோணம் சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர் சாக்கோட்டை திரு.அன்பழகன் மற்றும் சுவாமி விமூர்த்தானந்தர் ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
*திருபுவனம் சௌராஷ்ட்ரா நெசவாளர் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த செல்வி சங்கமித்ரா டைபோ க்ராபிக்சில் 150 பொன்மொழிகளுடன் சுவாமி விவேகானந்தரை வரைந்து அனைவரின் பாராட்டைப் பெற்றார். அவரது ஓவியத்தைப் பாராட்டி பாராட்டுப் பத்திரம் மற்றும் ரூபாய் பத்தாயிரமும வழங்கப்பட்டன.
*மேலும் நமது மடத்தின் கிராம மையத்தில் தேசியக்கொடி ஏற்றப்பட்டு தேச பக்தி பாடல்கள் பாடப்பட்டன.
We celebrated the 77th Independence Day along with the one-year anniversary of the installation of the Swami Vivekananda statue at Kumbakonam Porter Town Hall where Swamiji gave a rousing call to the entire nation in his lecture on ‘The Mission of Vedanta’ in 1897 on February 3 to 5.
Principal Subordinate Judge, Col S Chandrasekhar, officer commanding, 8 (TN) BN NCC, MLA of Kumbakonam, Sakkottai Sri. Anbhazhagan, and Swami Vimurtananda participated and around 300 people participated in this programme.
Ms. Sangamitra from a Saurashtra weaver family of Thirubhuvanam, drew a painting of Swami Vivekananda with his 150 sayings in typography. She was awarded a certificate of appreciation and Rs.10,000/- for her painting on this occasion.
Furthermore, the national flag was hoisted in the village center of our Math and students sang patriotic songs.
