125th Anniversary Swami Vivekananda's Visit to Tamilnadu
All the patriotic Indians celebrated the 75th year of independence of India. We could celebrate the same by installing a 7 feet height bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda at the Porter Town Hall in Kumbakonam where Swamiji gave his lecture 'The Mission of Vedanta' on February 3, 4, 5, 1897.
Many Sadhus, devotees, and well-wishers prayed and wished for an installation of Swamiji over there. It is fulfilled after 125 years.
Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur with the support of the Porter Town Hall conducted 3-day programs on 13, 14, and 15 August. Top officials in all government departments and almost 3500 youths participated in these programs. Various cultural and traditional martial arts were conducted during the three days.
